Media Library: images, files, and organization
The Media Library is where you manage the images and media assets of your website.
From here, you can upload photos, organize files, reuse images across pages, and keep your website content tidy.
When to use the Media Library
Use the Media Library when you want to:
- upload business images,
- change images in sections,
- organize photos into folders,
- find images that are already uploaded,
- reuse images on another page,
- check which assets are being used,
- clean up old or unused media.
What you can store
Depending on your website setup, the Media Library may include:
- images,
- logo files,
- icons,
- videos or video links,
- documents,
- generated assets,
- external media URLs.
Images are usually the most important assets for a professional business website.
Step 1 — Open the Media Library
Open the Centuply app, select your website, and open Media or Media Library.
You will see the assets already uploaded or used on the website.
Step 2 — Upload a new image
Click Upload or drag images into the Media Library.
Before uploading, check that the images:
- are clear,
- have good resolution,
- are not too dark,
- are not unnecessarily large,
- match the style of the website.
Step 3 — Organize media
If you have many images, organize them with folders or tags.
Examples of organization:
- Hero images
- Services
- Team
- Products
- Gallery
- Logo
- Backgrounds
- Social
Good organization helps a lot as the website grows.
Step 4 — Use an image in a section
When editing a section in the Visual Editor, you can select an image from the Media Library.
Examples:
- hero image on the homepage,
- service image,
- team photo,
- gallery image,
- background image,
- logo in the header.
Step 5 — Check where an asset is used
Before deleting an image, check whether it is used on a page or section.
If you delete an image that is being used, the page may no longer look correct.
It is better to replace the image first and delete it later.
Step 6 — Clean up old or unused assets
Over time, you may collect images you no longer need.
You can clean up:
- old images,
- duplicates,
- temporary uploads,
- unused images,
- assets that no longer fit the brand.
Do not delete files too quickly if you are not sure where they are used.
Step 7 — Check mobile appearance
An image may look good on desktop but not on mobile.
After changing an image, check:
- whether it crops correctly,
- whether the face or product is visible,
- whether text remains readable,
- whether the section feels balanced.
Image best practices
