Sections: add, remove, and reorder

Sections are the main building blocks of each page on your website.

Examples of sections include Hero, Services, About, Gallery, Testimonials, Contact, and Footer.

With Centuply, you can adjust the structure of a page by adding, removing, or reordering sections.

When to use this guide

Use this guide when you want to:

  • add a new section to a page,
  • remove a section you do not need,
  • change the order of sections,
  • make a page cleaner,
  • improve the flow of the homepage,
  • add a CTA, FAQ, Gallery, or Testimonials section,
  • prepare a better structure before publishing.

What is a section?

A section is a block of content inside a page.

For example, a homepage may include:

  1. Header
  2. Hero
  3. Services
  4. About
  5. Gallery
  6. Testimonials
  7. Contact
  8. Footer

The right order helps visitors quickly understand the business, what it offers, and what they should do next.

Step 1 — Open the Visual Editor

Open the Centuply app, select your website, and open the Visual Editor.

Open the page you want to edit.

Step 2 — Open the sections panel

In the editor, open the panel that shows the sections of the page.

There you will see the list of sections already included on the page.

Step 3 — Add a new section

To add a new section, select Add section or open the catalog of available sections.

Common sections include:

  • Services
  • Pricing
  • Gallery
  • Testimonials
  • FAQ
  • CTA Banner
  • Contact
  • Map
  • Team
  • Blog preview

Choose a section that supports the goal of the page.

Step 4 — Choose the right section for your goal

Do not add sections just to fill the page.

Use:

  • Services to explain what you offer.
  • Gallery to show images or examples of work.
  • Testimonials for social proof.
  • FAQ for common questions.
  • CTA Banner to guide visitors to an action.
  • Contact for contact details.
  • Map for a physical location.

Step 5 — Reorder sections

The order of sections strongly affects the visitor experience.

A simple and effective order for many businesses is:

  1. Hero
  2. Services
  3. Why choose us
  4. Gallery or proof
  5. Testimonials
  6. FAQ
  7. Contact or Booking CTA

Place the information that helps visitors understand what you do near the top of the page.

Step 6 — Remove sections you do not need

If a section does not add value, remove it.

Examples of sections you may remove:

  • temporary sections with no content,
  • duplicate sections,
  • empty galleries,
  • testimonials without real quotes,
  • sections that do not fit the business.

Fewer but better sections often make the website feel more professional.

Step 7 — Use the AI Assistant for suggestions

If you are not sure which sections the page needs, ask the AI Assistant.

Make the page simpler and more professional.

The Assistant can help you think about the page like a visitor.

Step 8 — Review the page flow

After making changes, read the page from top to bottom.

Ask yourself:

  • Does the visitor quickly understand what I offer?
  • Is there enough information before the CTA?
  • Are there unnecessary sections?
  • Is it easy to contact me?
  • Does it look good on mobile?

Step 9 — Save

When the order and sections look right, save your changes.

Before publishing, review the page again on desktop and mobile.

Best practices

  • Start with a simple structure.
  • Do not add too many sections without a reason.
  • Keep the most important information high on the page.
  • Place CTAs in natural points.
  • Use Gallery or Testimonials only if you have good material.
  • Always check mobile view.
  • If you are unsure, ask the AI Assistant for a suggestion.
